Hi Insquall - that is something that I would like to add eventually like as a plugin or something, but it will probably be quite a long while before I'll be able to focus on that.

It just is not a major focus area of MoI to do mathematical analysis type work.

In a lot of ways, I've tried hard to make MoI more accessible to people who don't have an extensive math background. A mathematical equation input mode would definitely be heavy on the math side...

Yes thank you I hadn't thought of that method :) , but these round about techniques can be somewhat tiresome.
