Moi as vector graphics program

Hi, I am just wondering if moi could be more than 3d application.

In many case I like using vector graphics programs such as Serif Drawplus for icons. I think moi has a lot of similar features that could produce 2D vector graphics.
What is missing from Serif DrawPlus is the CAD-like navigation for creating curves. That would be great to introduce JPG (with dpi) or SVG export for moi as well as line weight.

Hi Andras, MoI does currently export to PDF format, usually that should do the same job as you would get with SVG.

Seems you have yet AI format or PDF for export your curves!

Just reload it (as PDF) inside the free Gravit designer (Local or Online) for edit your curve and export it as your SVG format! ;)

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I use PDF export however with JPG or PNG (for transparency) export and line weight I could avoid DrawPlus.
I think that's all what I need to create small icons. The feature with DPI export would be useful to keep the scale of the exported drawings.

Hi andras, I do want to add more types of 2D vector type functionality in MoI but it will be a kind of gradual process over time. For now you would need to use MoI in combination with a 2D vector program for controlling things like line weights.

The main focus currently is more on modeling 3D forms and then you can generate a hidden line drawing and bring it in to your 2D vector program to do more stuff there.

Line weight probably not necessary because I could use offset. I would find only PNG export useful with DPI settings.

You can use directly Flat Lines by Max Smirnov for your curves inside MOi ;)
