Visual Glitches

Just purchased and I am seeing some visual glitches. For example:

Sometimes I select a face in the top split view and the selection isn't reflected in the other split views, or one of the split views goes blank.

I run other CAD/3D software on my PC without any issues.

Any ideas?

Thanks Groover - so something like that is most likely due to some bug in your video drivers. The best bet for solving it would be to update to the latest video drivers that are available for your video card. It's usually best to go directly to the video card manufacturer's web site to get them.

You also might try the current MoI V4 beta which you can get from here: http://moi3d.com/beta.htm . V4 has some changes in the display system like it uses Direct3D11 instead of Direct3D9 and maybe that will work better on your system.

Thanks for the reply Michael.

I checked and there are no graphics driver updates available for my computer.

I tried the V4 beta and that seems to work very nicely!

Unfortunately the glitches in V3 make it almost unusable. :(

Any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks.

Hi Groover, one thing you could try for V3 is to go to Options > General > "Edit .ini file" and inside the moi.ini file find the setting for DisplayThreadLimit which is in the [View] section and set it to:

DisplayThreadLimit=1

That will disable use of multiple threads in the display engine (for both V3 and V4 too), there is a small possibility that may help with your particular video driver.

Other than that I don't know of anything else other than getting an updated video driver if one becomes available. If you still can't run V3 properly on your machine please send me an e-mail at moi@moi3d.com and I can give you a refund.

So far changing the Thread Display Limit from [blank] to 1 seems to have worked. Thanks.
