Doe's v4 support instances of STEP assemblies?

Hi,

I'm curious - if I open a large STEP assembly per MoI v4 and save it as 3dm - will I have blocks at Rhino?

Hi Micha, sorry no MoI doesn't have instances yet. If you want to get instances you'll need to import the STEP file into Rhino.

Some times I have problems with the Rhino importer and it would be good to have an alternative. MoI 4 64bit could be an important tool. Maybe you could keep the request in your mind and find a way to implement instances in the near future. I think, instances could be a nice basic feature for MoI too. ;)

Hi Micha, yes it's definitely something I want to support in MoI and a while ago I had wanted to implement that for v4. But other areas have taken a lot more time than I had anticipated and so that's something that I've had to postpone until after v4 is released.
