Glitch on my system

Hi Michael,
With the current beta, I have a glitch on my system where if I click to drag an object in one of the view's, the movement stops at the edge of the working view.

So if I create and object, then select it in the "Right view", when I move my cursor into another view, like top, the object locks at the edge of the original viewport, and my cursor moves around the other views with no movement, until I move back to the original viewport.

Using the Move tool from the transform pallet, operates normally....

Is there anything I can provide you regarding this? Is it working for you and everybody else?

Thanks.

Hi Burr, I can repeat it over here too, thanks for reporting it.

It's probably caused by what's called "auto grab" in Qt which funnels mouse messages to the widget you initially click on while the mouse button is held down.

I'll take a look at disabling it for the next release.

Thanks Michael!

I have 1 more I think.

If I have several objects and styles, If I select a group of objects by using the scene browser-style selection icon, I get no response from the objects. Selecting them in the viewport operates normally.

Found it with explode move, and tested scale the same way. Same result on those 2 commands.

Have a few surfaces in the scene and give them a style.

Use the scene browser-style selection light bulb to select the objects.

run transform-scale.

Note the scale doesn't work.

Hi Burr, I can't get the selection one to repeat over here. Are you able to get it to happen when working with a particular file? If so can you please e-mail it to me at moi@moi3d.com?

Thanks, - Michael

Ah, the ole "Burr didn't check good enough" slip up!!!

It in fact doesn't happen repeatably. Only with that file.

I sent you the file just in case you can find something in it or see if it even happens on your system with the same file, but alas....

Talk later
