Hi guys

I should export the 2d perimeter of a 3D triangle while maintaining the actual dimensions in 3D space and not projected in plane C because the dimensions are reduced due to the projection
I'm interested in exporting the 2d curve maintaining the dimensions it assumes in 3d because the triangle will then have to be cut with an industrial machine

Hi Tony, so if I understand you correctly you want to export a 2D curve but relative to that triangle's plane and not projected to the world Top, Front, or Right planes?

If that's what you want you can accomplish that by using View > CPlane to set the construction plane to the center of that triangle. Once you have set the construction plane there your Top view will be relocated so that it is looking straight down on that triangle along its normal and now when you do a DXF, PDF, or AI export to 2D curves with a Top view projection it should be what you're looking for I think.
