Hi, It seems i cannot do that. I have a file with some custom colors, and i want to make a template of it. But when i reopen the file, all custom colors are gone. Is this normal?

Options/General/TemplateFile gives the location of the ***colors***.3dm file.

Likely under AppData/... on Windows 7.

Hi Moujiik,

re:

It's normal if you used File > "Export" to generate the file instead of File > "Save As".

File > Export is for writing just the selected objects to the given file, and also only styles used by the selected objects will be present in the file as well.

File > "Save As" on the other hand will save everything including all styles. So this is the one you want to use for making a template file.

Please let me know if that wasn't the problem.

Hi,
@Michael, it's not working. My custom colors are gone when i reopen the file.
@Benfarmer, what i am trying to save are the custom colors in style's edition panel.
Thanks

Hi Moujiik, oh those custom colors - sorry I thought you meant your styles were not being saved.

I thought those would get saved automatically by Qt but I guess not. It looks like I should be able to save and load them to your moi.ini file so they will persist.

Thanks for reporting the problem.
