Hi Marv, it might have been a good idea to build this centered at the origin, that would then make the world y axis a natural mirroring point.

But here are some potential next steps to make some more progress:

Prepare an inner contour using Construct > Offset:

Draw some center lines:

Use Construct > Offset on those to thicken:

Select all those lines and use Edit > Trim (with Trim mode = keep is more convenient here):

Use boolean difference to cut those away from your base:

If you get stuck on any of these steps please post your current model result and I'll help you with that particular step.

The base I figured out. Modified a little. Side cutouts on the piece not necessary
My problem is to extrude up the piece where the top is on a 6.43 deg angle

Hi Marv, so to make a tapered cylinder there are a few different ways. You can draw a vertical line in the Front view and then when picking the second point of the line type in <96.43 and push enter, that will then make it snap to the angle you need, then use Construct> Revolve to revolve it.

Or another way is to start with a base circle, run Construct > Extrude and then push the "Tapered" button in the Extrude options, press the Tab key twice to put focus in the "Draft angle" field, type 6.43 and push Enter and then extrude it up and it should have that angle.

Please let me know if I didn't understand what you needed.

opps!
Cylinder is not tapered. It is parallel. The whole cylinder is tilted 6.43 deg

Hi Marv,
Looking at your photo’s the part looks broken and you can see that the
cylinder as been tipped because it’s broke away from the connecting
Ribs and is being tipped because it is sitting on the rib.
Hope this helps
Barry

Hi Marv, yeah I thought the same thing as Barry - it certainly looks as though the tilt is because the ribs are broken and the cylinder needs to be pushed down so those are aligned and there isn't supposed to be any tilt?

True I know it's broke. That's why I need to make a new part. The tilt error due to being broke is minimal. It still remains sides are parallel and cylinder is on angle of 6.43 deg with respect to base . The tilt is required for motor down thrust

Hi Marv, so you need it tilted with parallel sides but is the top face of the cylinder supposed to be parallel to the main x/y plane?

You could create a regular vertical cylinder that's extended a bit, use Transform > Rotate to rotate it by 6.43 degrees and then draw in lines in a side view and cut the cylinder with those lines using boolean difference.

Or you could directly create a slanted cylinder from a base circle and slanted line by selecting the circle, running Extrude and then click the "Set path" button and then click the line. That will produce a different shape than a regular cylinder though, it will have an elliptical cross section through a plane normal to the line.

So the base is just a tiny bit elliptical, nearly circular...
