Just as a note on here (as I feel it's a duty to look out for good developers) - re: FStorm Render, it has been concluded by NZ courts that Kozlov did, in fact, steal Octane Render's source code while he was employed at OTOY.
So I guess you have to look inside yourself a little if you are going to support this product!
A Moscow city court defends it's citizen from a lawsuit from a New Zealand lawsuit with one word, "refused." That's your proof? If you read the other link, you'll see there is ample evidence OTOY is mentioned in the source code.
While I'm not a big fan of OTOY, I can tell you I would not advertise on forums I use stolen code and I *especially* would not defend the thief using such a weak one word ruling.
Since i have not seen such a rendering before i would like to ask you for your support.
If you use Maxwell Render or Thea Render i would appreciate some tips and material set-up's
on how to properly archive a sub-surface laser engraved photo into a glass block.
Here's is my first humble approach with Thea:
Please note: The photo is inside the glass block and not mapped onto the outside.
If you like you can contribute also to the Thea Forum thread, which i started.
