Hi Moi'ers

I wonder if it might be possible to script a function for "flattening an object" similar to this in Fushion 360 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aDN44__L9E
(I think Sketchup has a similar function as well)
I use unwrap curve script a lot but it would be great for complete models also.

(I prefer using Moi for all modeling because of the rapid workflow)

Hi Stardust, it would probably require quite a lot of effort to do that, and it's a difficult fit for MoI since you can't flatten a general curvy object in that way. Programs that have sheet metal functions work with a specialized set of tools to keep things limited to be unfoldable.

If that's the type of thing you need to do I would definitely recommend a program that has focused on that particular area which MoI hasn't. MoI just isn't the right tool for that job.
