Anyone know how to render an item to give it a silver or gold appearance? Any tools that can do photo realistic effect for jewellery design?

Thanks

Sculpy

Sorry for being off-topic!

@Pilou have you tried if the new SimLab plug-in for ZBrush works also with SimLab Composer Lite?

http://www.simlab-soft.com/3d-products/Integration/simlab-composer-zbrush.aspx

I ask because it is currently only for Windows and i am on a Mac with ZBrush.

Regards
Stefan

Hi Sculpy, MoI itself is only focused on modeling and doesn't have any photo-realistic type rendering built into it. So you need to export your model to a rendering program to do that. There are various rendering programs available - Simlab Composer that Pilou mentioned above is a great one to check out.

To move your model over into Simlab Composer for rendering you can export from MoI to .obj format and set the option for "Output: Quads & Triangles" in the mesh options dialog, then open the .obj file in Simlab for rendering.

Ok I have the answer!

YES YOU CAN! :)

So a sort of "KeyShot like" for free! :)
(Limited of course to 1920 *1080) It's better than nothing! ;)

It's not the only one, (Blender etc..), but surely one of the more easy and pleasant! :)

And don't forget the internal render of ZBrush! ;) (BPR..etc)
Ralph Stumpf makes some miracles with them! ;)

Yes Pilou, Ralf Stumpf is awesome. I collected also MatCaps from him,
which are very very nice.

But i will start to save now money for KeyShot and KeyShot Bridge,
so that i can buy me a license next year. ;-)

Regards
Stefan
