I have done a blend, but it does not fit perfectly between the open ends,
thats why I would like to do a closed loft.

Then try two lofts, which looks quite the same to me, like in my previous suggestion.

First loft the red lines and as second the ending red lines with the remaining blue lines and finally join.

But if you like to shell and fillet the resulting surface you will probably need solution one...

Sorry no that's not possible to do in a single loft - a closed loft and just closed surfaces in general cannot have a closing seam where the start and end are flipped from each other. You will need to make a model like that out of more than one surface instead of just one single surface.

Well, not like you want to have it, IMHO.

I also don't understand why you not use method one, i suggested, because it gives a better result
than solution two. Only problem might be filleting afterwards.

Stefan, thank you zhat you insisted. When I first applied Blend to fill the
gap, the curvature of the gap was not blending completely smoothely with
the open ends. Thats why I posted my question looking out for creating
the entire loft as one. I had a look again and the filled gap seems to blend
perfectly now !
