I have a project that requires that I push a solid into a solid ball at various locations which are tangent to surface of the ball. I would like to select the center point of the specific solid in question and move the center point along with the entire ball directly to position 0,0,0. Does this capability exist in MOI? Thanks

Hi Bob, yes you can use the Transform > Move command to do that. First select your objects and then run Transform > Move.

The Move command takes 2 points, you first pick the point you're moving from and then you pick the point you're moving to.

When you're at the first stage for picking the point you're moving from, there's a button labeled "Bounding box center" which you can push to use the object's bounding box center as the base point:

So you'll want to use that for your base point. For picking the target point, you can type in x,y,z values for any point pick and you can type in just plain 0 as a shortcut for 0,0,0 . So for the target point pick type 0 and then push Enter to specify 0,0,0 there.
