Samsung S Pen compatibility ?

Hi Forum. I had use of a Samsung TabPro S ( about 15 months ago ) shortly after it was released. I tried MoI on it and what I can remember is that the pen cursor only registered when the nib was very close to the surface of display. Unlike other pens like the Wacom on Fujitsu where the cursor was active even when pen was some distance from the display, this made using the Samsung with MoI nearly impossible. Anybody know if there is a workaround ? New hardware from Samsung is just coming out, Galaxy Book, anybody know if behaves the same way with regards to having to be close to display to show cursor ?

Sven

Does the stylus driver have settings to adjust this?

The pens also have a pot or 2, usually under the button, that you can adjust its sensativity. Did you try these?

Thanks for answering, tried everything I could find in the way of software settings. Was not aware of pots inside of pen itself. There is a lively conversation about these pens on another forum I'll try. Will report back

Hover distance seems to have a lot to due with pen technology used. The new S pen on Samsung Galaxy Book is an EMR pen which has very good "hover" distance. The previous pen on TabPro S was actually a C Pen that supposedly did not work well. I'll report back when I've tried MoI on the new Galaxy Book.
