Wouldn't it be useful keeping of-used objects on hand - nevertheless - how to add?

NOTE: Edited SidePane.html

Hi Ced,
Why not use Max's Obj Library folder.
It shows up on your MoI screen picture...
In that folder, I've go a tetrus, icosahedron, etc...

Hi Ced, like Brian writes above it looks like you've already installed Max's CustomUI extension, so you have a button on your bottom toolbar labeled "Obj Library", it's for doing exactly what you describe.

The way you've tried to add it there is as a drawing command, a command is made of script code that does things like pick points, a .3dm file on the other hand is a data file they are not the same thing.

It could be possible to set up a button like you're trying to do but you'd need to make it use the import command with the 3dm file as a parameter to it, like command="Import c:\objects\myobj.3dm" . But since you have the "Obj Library" button all set up on your bottom toolbar already you should give that a try first.

Thank you! Perfect~! Removed the Solids or Shapes folder - which I had renamed 'Objects' folder from the menu~!

You can give me a solid for that!
Cheers,
Ced

Hi Ced, there are several commands on the Solids palette that you'll now be missing, like draw cylinder, draw plane, create text.

So I wouldn't recommend removing that.

Hey guys! Look - here's how to add a TOOL TIP (balloon) which makes it convenient when you're looking for a tool~!

Pops up everywhere you hover -

<moi:Text textid="">Edit

You can place <!--Beginning of the EDIT tab--> & <!--End of the EDIT tab--> around each TAB section - and change the code like this to enable popup tool tip balloons.

After carefully re-reading Max's instructions for adding objects to the Object Library, http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=6507.1
please note that the Object Library command will automatically create a png "thumbnail" of an object on the MoI screen,
as well as save the object. Your choice of lighting options can be pre-selected.
