Only layers

Hi
I shared a 3dm file with someone and they said that it only contained the material layers when they opened it in Rhino. I just checked the same file and noticed that I have ser the view to 50% transparency in all planes. Will changing transparency in view affect the objects visibility in Rhino?
Best regards
Keith

Hi Keith, do you mean the file contained only layers and no objects at all? Or do you mean it had objects but did not have all the original layers?

If you use File > Export to write the selected objects out to a 3DM file, it will contain only the layers that had objects on them and skip empty layers. But if you do a File > "Save As", it will write all layers even if they are empty.

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by "all planes", do you mean you've changed the option in MoI for the transparency of background bitmaps?

If it's the setting under View > Image, no that should not affect object visibility in Rhino.

What happens if you reload the same file in MoI, do you see what you expect? Could you send the file to me at moi@moi3d.com so I could take a look?
