don't regret that you are using macOS, because there is MagicalSketch available from the creators of Shade3D.
This is actually an old technique, which was many years ago available as plug-in for Shade3D. So, this is
nothing new what Pilou posted.

Guy who ask me about SmoothTeddy said that is the more easy and adapted program for school's kids
(he tryed a lot other) the only lack is a traditional operational export format for a 3D Printing !

Personally this program don't works for me (surely java problem) so I can't test it!
