Hi Matt, you'll get that error because of changes that Apple made in the OS that broke MoI. I have released a version 3.1 update of MoI that solves that though, you can download the updated version by putting in your v3 license key here: http://moi3d.com/reinstall.htm . One other thing is that when running on Sierra MoI will only run from the /Applications folder so make sure you put it there before you run it.

Hey Michael. I just loaded Sierra and MOI won't start. I tried to download 3.1 from the provided link but it downloads 2.5.2. How can i upgrade to 3.1? Thanks

Hi Terry, there's a discounted upgrade version available if you have an older version, it's the 2nd link on the purchase page here: http://moi3d.com/purchase.htm

One other note is that due to a new security mechanism in Sierra, MoI v3.1 won't run directly from the Downloads folder, you need to move it into the /Applications folder for it to run ok.

Thanks, - Michael

Hi Terry, yes the 3.1 upgrade is to support running on Sierra where the original v3.0 doesn't work. If you already have v3, you can get the v3.1 upgrade for free by putting in your license key here: http://moi3d.com/reinstall.htm . Just make sure you're putting in your V3 license key there - if it's giving you v2.52 on that page it's probably because you're putting in a V2 license key. The V2 license key will start with "VER2", make sure you're using the one that starts with "VER3".

Thanks Michael,

I was using the V2 license key. Unfortunately, it does not appear that I have documented the V3 key. Is there a way to find it? Thanks

Hi Terry, at the bottom of that same page (http://moi3d.com/reinstall.htm), you can put in your e-mail address and have your license keys e-mailed to you.

Also if you have installed V3 before, your license key will get saved as a text file under ~/Library/Application Support/Moi/moi_v3_license.key - the Library folder is hidden in Finder by default I think so you have to use a menu item "Go to folder" to go to it, or in Terminal use the following:

open -t ~/Library/Application\ Support/Moi/moi_v3_license.key

That should open up your license key file in TextEdit.app if it's there.

If you still can't find it please e-mail me at moi@moi3d.com and let me know the name and e-mail address to look for and I can look it up for you too.

Hi Michael,

Don't know why I didn't think to look there... duh. That did the trick. MOI runs...
Thanks for the helping hand. Terry
