Hi guys,

I'd like to show some of my MoI work over here. Not everything is completely made in MoI, but at least the foundation of the models.

Hi Metin,

Just out of curiosity...These character is for animations or not ?
I ask you this because i'm curious about what kind of technology or software do you use to animate these characters without stretching their topology.

Thanks and have a nice day.

Many thanks Marco and Stefan!

Marco, I've created the monster almost completely in MoI. It's not meant for animation, so I modeled it in this pose in MoI.

If a character needs to be animated, I use ZRemesher in ZBrush. It's fabulous for riggable retopology.

Thanks Michael! MoI is so much fun to work with that it screams for fun monsters. :)

Metin,

Like many monsters, seems to have more tongue than brains.
I am curious as to how the tongue was textured... is it straight on UV mapping?

Hi Metin and thanks a lot for your reply.

I asked you about riggable retopology because IMHO it's a very fascinating branch of 3d gfx.

Thanks guys!

Mindset, I gave the tongue a procedural noise texture in the bump map channel, with a fairly high bump value. The scene was rendered using Keyshot for ZBrush.

Marco, many thanks for the links. That's quite some interesting stuff. I don't do a lot of animation, especially not character animation, because it's quite elaborate work, with all the rigging and the keyframe jungle that results from moving all kinds of body parts. But I'm definitely interested in the subject matter.

Do you know Mixamo ( https://www.mixamo.com ) ? It seems like a very interesting facility for easy character rigging and animation.
