Hi r2d3, I'm glad that it is working and not getting any worse!

The "New window" works fine for me on El Capitain, so I'm not sure what the problem there is.

MoI version 4 with a native Mac build will be a lot less complex than the current version and so should probably be a lot more resilient to OS changes I hope.

Hi r2d3, i can verify the issue with New Window in Sierra, but its relatively easy to fix.

- Right click on Moi V3.1.app and select Show Package Contents.
- Navigate to folder: Contents / Resources / WineskinMenuScripts

In the WineskinMenuScripts folder you'll see a file called NewWindow.app which looks like:

Right click on that and choose open, then open with Automator.
Inside Automator choose save, overwriting the original file and then quit Automator.

Thats it! New window should work fine after that.

Hi Dinos, thanks for figuring that out with the solution!

Do older Automator apps sometimes not work on new OS releases?

Hi Nicolas, Apple made some big changes in how multi monitors work, and the libraries that the MoI Mac version currently uses are not compatible with those changes yet.

If you change the OS setting to go back to the previous multiple monitor behavior that may avoid the problem.

The setting is under System Preferences > Mission Control - uncheck "Displays have separate Spaces" there.

You will then need to reboot your system in order for this change to take effect.

Does it behave any better after that?

The next version of MoI should not have this problem anymore.

Hi Michael, this is the first time I've noticed this behavior.

I got the same issue (and the same icon) with some normal Mac apps that used to work perfectly until Sierra so obviously something is changed.
In one particular case i traced the issue to: "Objective-C garbage collection is no longer supported" but this should have nothing to do with Automaton..

Hi Dinos, well I'm glad you found a solution that works!

Probably my biggest gripe with Apple is that they seem to hardly focus much attention on backwards compatibility.

I am certainly hoping that MoI v4 will be more resilient in this area though since it will not have so many layers of apps in it.
