Cool! Same family than SolveSpace & Geogebra but only in 2D! :)

Hello,

most of the parametric systems solves the problem and so FreeCAD also:-)
and you can EX/IM the skeleton by STEP.

A nice day to all

Interesting.

Karsten, can you please provide the project file of FreeCAD?

No problem.

Made with the last pre V0.17. Double-click under the model card on the left side the sketch.

Have a nice day
Karsten

"""""""""""Well it should look something like this ... but I can't find a way to snap the red segment on both circle :S """"""""""""

Hey PaQ,
It's going to be a complex calculation. transformation matrices can be created and used on 2 rigid bodies. (the circles work with a SINGLE coordinate system). But this situation brings into play "fixed positions AND the transform matrix). You could look at "Denavit-Hartenberg Notation" for a description of what's involved. So basically you would:

Create a coordinate system for the fixed objects and 2 more free form coordinate systems to plot points with the transform matix (I think its 2 coord systems with that many parts but I could be off by 1)

Then math would pick the points for each constraint coordinate, then plotted to the global "fixed" coordinate system...

lol....:o

It's another case where the Snap of the opposite moving segment B intersection with something will be fine!
Now we have only the base Move A of the segment "snapping" !

Sometime a trick can help, move symetric things and other but...

Hi Pilou, unfortunately I don't think it's practical to add a snap like that which was always in effect, it would probably be very confusing if it snapped like that under regular movements.

Too many mysterious snap points happening automatically can be a problem.

Something like this will probably need to be set up with a constraint solver, SolveSpace is a good one to use for now. In the future I'd like to have one directly inside of MoI as well.

A manual construction! :)
Not perfect but...maybe sufficient for obtain the angles!

Hi Pilou,

Very clever! A good solution in my opinion - pure geometry:-)

Thanks
Karsten
