Create curve from edge

Is there a possibility to create curves from the edges from a existing surface, except by drawing?

Draw a Straight line or a curve above your volume
Then "Project" it Menu Construct / Curve / Project

My method if for obtain a curve from a surface! ;)

if you copy and paste the edges you get curves.
