Decimal Places to Display <--> Point Control Display

Hi Michael, Hi all,

I stumbled across this:

Moving the pointer along the x-axis the point control display shows: 7 ... 8 ... 9 ... 1 ... 11 ... 12 ...

MoI Version: Jul-25-2007
Settings: Standard, except for "Options --> General --> Decimal places to display" = 0
View: Top
Snap: None

Any hints?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris, this was definitely a bug. I've fixed it up for the next bug fix beta release, thanks for reporting it!

You might be a bit careful setting the display like that though, it kind of makes it seem like points are snapping to the grid but really it is only that readout that is being limited, not the actual point locations that you click with the mouse.

Hi Michael,

thanks for your hint. My primary intent was to work in millimeters with a grid size of 50 and a snap size of 10, so I felt no need for the places after the decimal point (even if the display would be a little bit off on intersections etc.). I only switched back to standard settings to see if I messed up anywhere in between.

Bugfixing on the weekend ... the encyclopedia should show your picture under "dedication".
