Frenchy

That doesn't make any sense to me. Why would my browser affect the content of the download. I'm running IE7 ---- not great but I don't want to uninstall it just to get MOI to start working. Anyways, I doubt that this is part of the problem.

Thanks for posting and keeping us informed over at the push pull bar

Thanks
Ypnos

Hi Ypnos, darn, I had thought this was solved in the just released Jul-25 version...

Please make sure you are running that newest version and not the Jul-17 one.

About IE7 - MoI uses the display engine of IE for showing its own user interface. So that's why if something is not working right with IE it can mess up MoI.

A couple of things you can try - there is a Reset button in IE7 under Tools / Internet Options / Advanced tab, it is a "Reset" button on the bottom of that dialog. If you can try pushing that it will restore default settings which help.

Also if something has gotten messed up in the system registry for the Windows scriping engine stuff it can also cause problems. You can reset the registry for these items by following these instructions:

Well for the record, I'm running Vista at home and IE6 & 7 on my various XP boxes - I've not experienced any problems?

Granted, I don't have a bunch of scripts loaded - just some things to select open and closed curves and 1 or 2 others, but I've certainly never had any problems running MOI's GUI commands?

Of course I will add that being here at work, I haven't had the chance to work with the latest beta to any degree (just in case something is broke there) but again, I've never had these problems?...

Hi Ypnos, are you running any kind of anti-virus, anti-spyware or other system type utilities?

Can you please try the earlier Jun-12 version and let me know if that seems to work better or not? You can download that one from here: http://moi3d.com/beta/moi_Jun-12-2007_setup.exe

Is there any chance you have disabled any of the system services from starting automatically?

Michael,

I am running Norton 360 which i really hate because it doesn't allow me to easily shut it down.

Regardless the June 12 version worked for me
Thanks
i'll use this until the next update
