Hi Petr, I would like to do that eventually, but it is not quite a simple thing to do. It will have to go on the wish list for a future verson.

Great eye! Thanks for catching this, I had actually intended for it to be the same as the 3D view but there was a bug messing it up.

It ended up being a perspective view, but stretched in one direction by an amount relative to the aspect ratio of the viewport. If your viewport happens to be fairly square like mine it is hard to see, if you have a somewhat wider more rectangular viewport the distortion will be more pronounced.

I should be able to fix this up a bit later tonight, I'll get this in for the next bug fix beta later on this evening.

Slight delay in plans - I'm going to postpone the new beta until tomorrow afternoon so I can add some additional diagnostic stuff for this one big remaining script error problem.
