Snapping distance

Hello there,

When building larger scenes with a lot of objects and details the snapping radius or "circle" gets a bit confusing due to the high amount of snapping points.

Is it possible to reduce that radius? I don't want to switch off any object snaps or snapping modes, but only lower the distance the snapping "reacts" to surrounding points.

Hi 3image, yes there is a setting for the snapping distance under Options > Snaps > "Object snap options" > "Snap radius".

Often times though the best way to reduce such confusion is to be more rigorous about hiding objects that are not part of your immediate operations. One quick way to do that is to select the objects that you are currently working on and then right-click on Edit > Hide. That will do an "Isolate" operation where everything other than the selected objects will be hidden. It also remembers the pre-isolate state and when you trigger it a second time it will restore everything to its previous display state.
