Slice Script for MOI 3D

Dear Sir,

I am a beginner in MOI 3D and I like to ask you if there is a Slice script command to slice solid models instead of using trim command. The problem is that when you apply trim to a particular block it trims the part but it comes open surface. I need to be solid when I cut it.

Another question is how can I have a Thread script command to use it to my designs.

MOI 3D is an amazing package I never seen. I know Autocad but MOI is something else.

Thanks a lot

DON'T make A Trim ! A Trim makes "Open Volumes"!
Make a multiple Boolean Diff and all wil works like a charm! ;)

Then Select All and Press TAB and write ExplodeMove! :)
(that I made during the 5 seconds time of the pause's Animation following)

Hi Ray, it sounds like you've got the slicing covered, but just to make sure yes like Pilou write above you can use boolean difference to slice a solid with a 2D curve including a set of lines and the booleans are oriented around keeping things solid so the lines will leave the "side walls" where they cut, resulting in solid sliced results unlike Trim.

For a thread script, see the "Nuts and bolts" script from Max's page here: http://moi.maxsm.net/media/files/

Also some other scripts are collected here: http://kyticka.webzdarma.cz/3d/moi/ and instructions for installing a script are in the FAQ here: http://moi3d.com/wiki/FAQ#Q:_How_do_I_install_a_plug-in_script.3F
