Hi Stefan, try out Simlab Composer, it's not as expensive as Keyshot.

SimLab (easy to use) here without any regulates: http://www.simlab-soft.com/

you have also a free one (for enthusiast, hobbyst, student and StartUp) : Fusion 360 : http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/try-buy

Hi you all great Moi'ers

Luxrender seems to be a competent software, anyone who can write an export plugin for it?

It would be awesome

Thanks

/Stardust

Hello Stardust,

sometimes I use Luxrender in Blender. Very powerful but very slow compared to Keyshot. For a quick preparation I use spherical Lightsource with HDR-Maps in Blender. So I can Export from Moi or somewhere else, import to Blender, choose HDR-Map, distribute some Materials and push the button:-) But renderings are not really important for my job.

Have a nice weekend
Karsten

Hi everyone,

Not so long ago i bought Thea Render 1.5 (stand-alone and Rhino plugin) and i have to say that it's a wonderful product!

It not only make the most from cpu & gpu, but its layering system give a a very powerful
and intuitive way to build very realistic materials.

Maybe it's not powerful as the more famous Keyshot, but you can buy it a fraction of the cost,
and perfectly read n-gons obj exported from Moi.

Regards.

Marco (mkdm)

Octane render is the best in my opinion. I never seen a renderer which produces more realistic and sweet colors.
Just upgraded to v3.0
