kit-bashed car

Hi! I hope this is the right place to post works in progress.

I've been building a kit of mechanical pieces in Moi to do some kit-bashing with. I planned to build a mech but I ended up doing some kind of racing car.

It's still a work in progress, I want to change the wheels and tires, add the pilot seat and some details. The file is getting painfully slow to handle though...

Comments are welcome!

Sorry for the poor quality of the images, they're just Keyshot screenshots.

Great looking vehicle :) You may need to drop the angle under your options screen to speed the screen back up

Thank you Martin!
I'm not sure I got it right. Which angle should I drop?
I hope it's not the mesh angle in the meshing parameters section, because I tried and set it to 5 instead of the default 10 and the program halted and quit. LOL
(And BTW what are the meshing parameters?)

Hi giai77, it's looking great!

If the display is bogging down for you, you can try adjusting some settings to help with that. Before you open your file, go to Options > View > "Meshing parameters" and set "Mesh angle" to 25 degrees and uncheck "Add detail to inflections".

That will make for a somewhat rougher looking shade display but also greatly reduce the triangle count.
