I apologize if this has already been brought up.
Would it be possible to have a preview for the MoI File/Open, dialog similar to what various other applications have?

It would be helpful for locating a specific file if you have lots of them and with variations, etc.

Hi fleetfoot, that's on my list of stuff to work on in the future.

I'm not sure when it will happen, it involves writing shell plug-ins for both Windows and Mac for the operating system to call for extracting the preview image.

Hi

I have a custom save and saveas file that saves a jpg with the same name as the 3dm
attached

The jpg won't show when opening from moi but will show in windows folder view making it easy to find

That can be also a solution!
Maybe only the 3D View will be sufficient ?

Does this works also for MAC ?
