Hi Stargazer, did you overwrite any files inside MoI's UI directory?

Hi Michael,

No, I only overwrote commands folder.
I also added the block of code from the instructions to CommandBar.htm and EnglishStrings.txt.

Thank you for your responses!

Hi Stargazer, those instructions are for the old version of CustomUI though that only works with MoI v3.

The instructions for CustomUI.2.0.beta2 are here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=6507.268

For v4 it goes in the appdata directory now and you shouldn't modify CommandBar.htm anymore for v4.

Please carefully check what version you're getting because what you show and describe all fit with the old version of CustomUI and not the one that works with v4.

Hi Michael,

Sorry, I think I explained my self poorly.

When I said I copied the block of code from the instructions, I didn't mean the instructions for older Custom UI. I meant the instruction for installing Scripts Icons Gallery.

I'm using the new Custom UI and its files are located in my "AppData\Roaming\Moi" folder.

Thanks again,

The instructions for the Scripts Icons Gallery are over 3 years old.

Has anyone installed them recently, in MoI v4 beta?

- Brian

Edit: The first post says "This UI add on, works with or without the fantastic Max's CustomUI."
So whatever the install problem is, it is not dependent upon CustomUI (IMHO).
Modification was to MoI3 (?) So new install for MoI4 beta would have different (Unknown) requirements. (AFAIK).

Perhaps new instructions could incorporate the Gallery into CustomUI?
A cross between Max's Object Library and Scripts Icons?
And also add subdirectories to Max's Object Library, and/or Scripts Screen?

(These are comment questions, not question questions :-))

Hi Stargazer, so you didn't modify CommandBar.htm like you previously wrote?

What happens if you temporarily empty out the AppData\Roaming\Moi\startup folder and then start up MoI, do you see only the standard UI or do you still have CustomUI stuff showing?

Hi Michael,

Yes, when I empty the startup folder, I see the default MoI UI, without anything from the CustomUI.

I just installed the Scripts Icons Gallery, steps 1 throuh 4. (In MoI4Beta)
The result is substantially nearly equivalent to Stargazers. (My monitor is hi definition.)
There is an overlap of one customUI icon and MoI options icon, at the bottom RIGHT of the screen. (My overlap is with the log icon and MoI options icon.)
I guess that this overlap has something to do in Step 3, commandBar, with the presence of

span id="CommandBarCustomUI">
/span>

</flex>
(???)

A very very minor point is that Maybe Stargazer left out the <moi:Spacer> at the beginning of Step 3, which reduces the narrow space between ObjectSnap button and Scripts Gallery Icon, so that this gap is even narrower. (?)

The Icon for the scripts gallery is defined in MoI, not CustomUI. Perhaps change the dimensions, width and height of step 1, or change the scripts gallery icon, if dislike the size?

I did not do step 5, because the Scripts and Extra Commands folders are now located in AppData.
So Scripts Gallery should be modified to point to these two folders (? IMHO).
(My Scripts Icon does not bring up any command at all.)

Contrary to prior post, I actually have 13 script icons in the Scripts Gallery, under curves, which seem to have been pre-existing (somewhere else, maybe in a preexisting scripts directory somewhere in MoI. (I recollect forming a scripts directory somewhere a week or so ago, for another matter. The 13 icons are in the middle of an otherwise empty "Icon List", must be scrolled to to see, and the other tabs are empty.

In Step1, re: moi.css, Editing to 80 px, instead of 96px for length and width, shrinks the Script Gallery Icon.
But the name remains "Script Gallery".

By editing line 2 of ScriptskGalleryTextIds.txt, from ScriptsGalleryText=Script Gallery, to ScriptsGalleryText=S_Gallery, the Script Gallery Icon name is shortened, and
the customUI Icons move to the left, whcih stopped the overlap. Hi Def monitor is very nice to have.

I have no clue to how to modify anything else, and so will likely have no more comments :-)

- Brian

I do not know if I even want to have the Scripts Gallery :-)
Maybe the scripts gallery could be incorporated into CustomUI?

Hi Stargazer, it sounds like the Scripts Icons Gallery is not currently compatible with MoI v4 and the instructions for it are only applicable to v3 and will mess up v4 if they are applied there.
