Hi Moi'ers

I wonder if anyone knows a simple and straight forward software to animate an obj file
Like adding a skeleton to any kind of object

I think Maya or C4D and similar softwares is way to advance

Hope you get the idea

Thanks

Stardust

Hi Stardust, for simple animations you might try SimLab Composer.

I'm not sure that can do character animations with skeletons though... That kind of animation tends to be more advanced. You could try Cinema4D or Maya for that like you wrote or also Modo or Blender.

Hi Stardust,

if you don't like Blender's UI workflow you may check out the Trial of Shade 3D. It comes in 3 flavors, Basic, Standard and Professional. The Standard comes with Bones etc. Shade 3D is inexpensive, imho and worth a try.

iClone 6 is user friendly ($60 to $200) ...but requires 3DXchange to import (also $60 to $200 - up to $300) - depending on flavor.
Has various add-on motions and effects - can be quite sophisticated, but each everything is an extra add-on.

But bone rigging (features AutoDesk's HumanIK® Inverse kinematics) and automatic lip-sync are strong.
Has built-in render or add-on Plug-in for Indigo runtime.
