Hi ed, you can do that by first generating the point objects by creating one point on the curve using Draw curve > More > Point, and then replicating that point along the curve using Transform > Array Curve. Use the "Item count" option in Array Curve to control how many points to generate, they will each be spaced at the same distance as traveled along the curve.

Then once you have the points generated you can select them and use the SavePointFile plug-in script to write their x,y,z coordinates out to a text file. You can find SavePointFile here: http://kyticka.webzdarma.cz/3d/moi/#SavePointFile

Hello Ed,

If I get you right you can do something like that:

- place a point on the curve from you would start with your coordinatefile.

- make a transform-> array -> curve with the point as object and your circle as path curve, choose the resolution you want:-)

- select all points and run the script from http://kyticka.webzdarma.cz/3d/moi/#SavePointFile (put the 2 files in command and make shortcut key under options)

- share your results with us and make us happy:-) and give us inspiration:-)

Good luck
Karsten

Thanks guys - sounds like an easy plan.

I'll share if my final experiment is a success. It will take a while :)
