Percentage field in Offset request

It would be very handy to have a percentage field in the offset window.
Im creating bezels for jewellery settings and the shrinkage of metal increases with size.
So the bezels are offset more for large stones and less for small.
A percentage field would be very useful as opposed to calculating the offset for each bezel.
Just a thought…I wonder if others would find this useful?
Thanks

Hi Stav, could you maybe explain your request a bit more - I'm not sure what the percentage would be based on, I mean a percentage of what value?

Hi Stavros,

You can input a percentage sum now, MoI has a built in math function. For example if you need to increase 25mm by 2.5% you just input 25*1.025 and MoI will calculate it for you, 25.625mm in this case.

Hi Stav, Danny understood your request better than I did - the built in math formula calculation that Danny mentions above is available in any numeric input field in MoI so that can work anywhere without the need for an additional field in the UI.

Thanks Danny!

Hi Stavros
What are you printing them on to cast ?
I have a Kevvox resin printer and I do not scale at all , I just draw it the size I want exactly and cast it from that .

Are you making masters that are being vulcanised and wax injected ? hence the 2.5% shrinkage.
This I printed as drawn

cheers
shayne

Hi Shayne,

Stavros didn't mention 2.5% I just made that figure up to show in the example :)

Cheers
