I don't have an Illustrator, but I use it for exporting curves to photoshop as editable paths. Very useful featurŠµ.

I normally export as a PDF to import into Xara. This allows me to play with he outlines and the shaded part of the model. (Image attached)

Has the AI fomat changed much since Moi V2?

Yes, MoI's AI exporter changed significantly since MoI v2 - MoI v2 would only export existing curves as a wireframe to AI format, all the stuff for generating a hidden line drawing with silhouettes, outlines and shading is new for MoI v3.
