I make staircases, I have used Sketchup a lot, but I had a curved staircase to make, and had used the demo of MoI in the past!

So, for this job I shelled out for Moi, and got cracking!

That looks relay nice. I am curious how did you get the dimensions from Moi, did you use another program to make production drawing? ore did you use the new plugin?

Looks great! do you just use the 3d files for previs or do you acutally make the real parts from the moi3d file?

Hi,

I exported the Treads/flat parts as DXF, and used our standard CAM software to get the (3Axis) CNC to machine it.

For the curved parts, I exported as IGES and sent to a supplier who imported into solidworks and used the geometry to cut the curved handrail using a 5 axis CNC.
