Hi Philip, well curves and the objects created from those curve are separate objects, and if you want a bunch of separate objects to move together currently you have to select them all when you do the move. You can't just select some of the objects that you want to move if you don't want them to get separated.

You might want to assign a name or style to all the pieces that you want to move together, so that you can select them all at once more easily in the scene browser rather than using the mouse for selection.

That's basically what you need to do for now. In the future I do plan on adding more types of organizing methods which would help with larger projects such as grouping and instancing, and eventually inserting content from external files.

But for now it's just pretty simple - get all your pieces that you want to keep together selected before you move them.

Thanks for your fast replies.

@Pilou: resizr looks like a really useful tool. Thanks for that. Tried it on the original message. Worked for scaling the pictures, but I did not manage to adjust the link right. Next time on the next post.

@Michael: Thanks for the explanation. I understood, what I am doing wrong. Really looking forward to that organizing methods like grouping and instancing. Would really help me a lot.

Getting all those pieces selected before I move them sounds easy, but right now it isn´t because there are so many. I am already working with names for objects and styles.

Looks like I have to find a better workaround. My mistake in the firstplace was to give the "helping curves" which I use for extrusion etc. a different color. They must have the same color as the object, so when I select this style I get all objects. When I don´t want to work on the curves I have to deselect them on the types menu. Hope this will do the job better.

Philip
