Hello, I give a try at MoI, and I like it.

I'm learning, and the surface trim volume trim close trim fillet merge isect sweep thing is completely new for me, although I use a lot curves in Blender.

So here's a simple render of a mouse, the model is incomplete, edges seem to be correctly welded, at least for rendering, but couldnt bevel/fillet the shape as I would so the light isn't catched by the edges. imported in .obj into blender, and yeah, I've never seen a mesh like that, haha. Couldn't resist to quick setup a studio scene for render.

Will maybe go further, to get this better, with fillets, more details, comments are welcome.

Hi delic, it looks like you're off to a great start, that's a nice looking result!

And yes NURBS modeling is very different from polygon modeling but if you like using curves a lot it might suit you well.

You might want to check out some of these tips for people coming from a poly modeling background:

Thx for the comment, and the links.

I also subscribed to some MoI users YouTube channels, to see how they do.

Very intersting.

Added some bevels and insets, cant get it as I want for yet, but made some renders to see the shape better.
Still learning, the tangency thing, the Gees, becomes more obvious now.

Hi delic, it's looking good! re: tangency - usually the easiest way to make things tangent is to construct smooth areas all out of one single larger extended surface and then cut away excess portions of that to form the final borders, rather than trying to sort of fill in pieces on a "patch by patch" basis.

Thx Michael and Lawrence.

I begin to feel comfortable with MoI, it's really handy, and intuitive, I like it.
