Thought I'd share this one with you guys. I modeled the tripod mounts, clamps, and top in MOI and printed in nylon on my Replicator 2. You can't see it, but I've got insets for the hex nuts so they're easy to tighten down with just a screwdriver! The mount is extremely sturdy.

Love to see real world projects and how they all come together. Great Job to land too, personal or production filming ?

Cool project Supagoat, it turned out well. Looks like a great use for your 3D printer!

Thank you for sharing it here!

Personal, for recording autocross. I wanted a high-up view to capture my distance to cones. The video it shot is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vR4PqZV_EU

Here are some additional images. I started by measuring the dimensions of the car's rear deck and trunk. Nothing is straight so I had to measure the height difference between the front and rear mount points as well as the inward angle of the bolt holes for the front legs. I created wires from those measurements in MOI and then set about modelling clamps and plates as well as the tripod head. It's tough to model to the real world, but the reward is worth it!

Cool clip :) Slalom for cars ... On a serious note, stability is actually very good, well done
