History possible with circular array ?

I'm a big fan of MOI 3D.

Especially the fact that you can tweak objects after execution a command. A loft for example, I can tweak the curves and the loft updates.

I was wondering if something like this would be possible with Circular array.
So, I want to array a cube 6 times and then rotate, scale the cube and all the arrayed cubes update.

Thanks, Kev.

Hi Kev

Michael wrote: "none of the array tools have history enabled for them and there is not any way to adjust that currently".
But it's possible with vClone script. Use Orient+History option.

Check this. Move/scale/rotate the red cube.

Thanks, I will have a look at the script.

I also played with your 3DM file, is your script embedded in the 3DM file ?
It works quite well.

PS have a look at the image what I want to do with this, make flowers for jewelry.

No. MoI can't embed scripts in 3dm file, but it can store a history data.

Forgot to say, in your particular case you can use rotate command manualy. It will be faster than using vClone. But vClone is much more flexible in most cases.

That's what I was after, thanks for that !

Getting there with my 3D modelling toolbox/workflow.

Model in MOI,export as OBJ, Import in 3D coat, then apply merge and smooth, Render in 3D coat, and in a few weeks investment cast in silver.
