Hi Andrei, can you give some more explanation of what you mean by a "similar edge" ?

Do you mean an edge on some other solid that is in some similar structural position as some currently selected edge? If so I don't really see how it would be possible to script that, sorry. It tends to be very difficult to code and script things that rely a lot on your own human judgement as part of the process, in order to script things you need to have a very specific formula for how the "similarity" is to be evaluated.

You could use the Randomize transform plug-in as a the basis for making a plug-in to do that. It's here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=5416.5

That is set up to do randomized rotations and scales using the center of each object's bounding box as the origin point for the transform.

Unfortunately I don't see how it would be possible to script that without making some kind of artificial intelligence pattern recognition mechanism.
