Indeed very cool. I've had a 3Dcoat license for a while but sold it. I really loved it but I could not find the time to play with all the apps I had at that time.
I can recommend 3DCoat....

Peace,
Rich_Art. ;-)

I never did try 3D Coat but wanted to. Frenchy got me hooked on Toolbag2, also a PBR app.

Thank you Bisenberger for posting these links :)
3D Coat seems to be more intuitive than ZBrush and cost half...anybody can compare them?

UI Interface is more classical for 3 DCoat and is more for engineers & artists

ZBrush is more for artists but with the new ZB 4R7 in few days you will have some "SKetchup modeling" over steroïds!

3DCoat can also be in French ;)
ZBrush will never be in French (accents are unacceptable for it without rewrite all the code!!! )

3Dcoat has native voxels modeling
ZBrush has hidden voxels without modeling on them directly

3Dcoat is maybe not also speedy for scultpture
ZBrush is the Rolls of feedback when you are sculpting

3DCoat uses the NVidia GPU
ZBrush uses only the CPU

Zbrush can treated enormous files of polygons!

PS See the gallery of both for see what can be sweet for you!

The new poly modelling tools in Zbrush R7 look really innovative.

I believe 3D coat will be doing work on their poly modelling tools in the near future. I guess they have to stay competitive with Zbrush.

That Quadpaint looks fantastic !

Thanks for the heads up on it.

Should make the job of retopologising much easier than most current tedious systems.
