Moi3D is shaping up to be a great application, even in beta. Here's some images where I used Moi for the modeling. Rendered in Fryrender beta 1.7

Thanks
Paul

Very nice work and renders... I belong to the opposite side (Maxwell) but I really like your images :-))

Do you find modeling in Moi more easy than other nurbs modelers?

Nice wires, very clean construction!

Is Fryrender a stand-alone rendering app, or is it a rendering plug-in for something else?

Do you use OBJ export for moving data over into Fryrender?

Frenchie

I've never really used nurbs before Moi so can't compare. I usually use poly packages such as modo. I much prefer using moi to model something like a phone than subdivision surfaces now.

Michael

Fry is pretty much designed to plugin to a host application. It has a replacement material editor and camera modifiers to convert the host camera over etc. I use the c4d one but there are a few others including one for rhino I believe. Yes I use the obj export of Moi to get the meshes into c4d. The exporter works very nicely too, I like the improved options in the latest beta for getting rid of a lot of the tiny/sliver polys that do nothing but increase polycounts.
