DXF in Moi

I was sent a DXF file which when I opened it in Moi, it was a flat box carton die line. I then saved it out as an.ai file so that I could open it in Adobe Illustrator.
Moi seemed to let me do this in but when I opened the file in Illustrator I had paths in the layer lists but nothing appeared when I selected those APPARENT paths nothing selected. There was no visual previews for the paths at all. Any one care to comment on the issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi mike, when you saved out to AI format, did you use the scale option for "Fit to page" or "Preserve units" ?

If you set "Preserve units" and the coordinates of the resulting curves are a far distance away from the origin, it's possible that they would just not show up in Illustrator because Illustrator only works with objects with a fairly limited coordinate range.

If that's not the case can you please e-mail me (moi@moi3d.com) both your DXF file and the generated AI file so I can take a look at them?

I did it as you wrote here. I thought fitting the page might scale something.

Alls well, your explanation was spot on.

Thanks
