Hi All

Im looking for a script to automate the creation of springs. Im sure there is one out there but i can't for the life of me find it now .. . . Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks for the pointers. I know about the helix function, its just that I am sure i used to use a spring script whereby i simply gave it some parameters i.e. length, dia. spring thickness and number of turns and it was done for you. Maybe it was just a dream . . .would be anise function in V4 in the solids sections . .

Hi Matt, there is not currently any special spring solid plug-in that I know of, but there is a "Pipe" plug-in where it will make a tube around your curve, basically doing the same job as drawing a circle and doing a sweep but automating the circle drawing step for you.
