Looking to get started with 2d patterns first then move into 3d- and Im a slower learner (not an excuse- but I know my limitations)... tried a search for stickies and getting started... no results

Anyone have a few "This is how a circle is expressed" or simple tutorial links? Thanks for the help and only hope I can contribute as much as I learn from you guys!

Thanks in advance

Silver

Hi Silver, a good place to start is the help file here:
http://moi3d.com/2.0/docs/moi_help.htm

Read the introduction section which is here:
http://moi3d.com/2.0/docs/moi_introduction.htm

And then watch the video tutorials here:
http://moi3d.com/2.0/docs/tutorials.htm

Watch those a couple of times and then also try following along with them to construct the same object yourself. That should give you a good overview on the overall construction process.

Then it's not a bad idea to read over some of the command reference part so you can get a better idea of what each particular command is for, that's available here:
http://moi3d.com/2.0/docs/moi_command_reference.htm

There are also other videos collected here:
http://moi3d.com/resources#Tutorials

One of the best of those for beginners are the ones by Tom Meeks that Brian has a link to above.

Hope this helps get you started!

- Michael

As a recent newbie I strongly recommend the Tom Meeks tutorials. Pitched at just the right level for beginners.

Mike.

Sorry for taking a few days to get back on the loop- Life has left turns... Thanks for the leads- I appreciate them and have a series of them already lined up for viewing.

I am sure I will have a few ??s once Im up and running- thanks Michael for the reply as well.

Hope you guys get a good chuckle as I plod along- Trying to get into the CAD game with NO background or experience is daunting- And K4ICY as well has great tutorials as pointed out in another forum.

Thank you again for the assistance and I look forward to learning from all the users- even if its to learn what NOT to do! (Im sure I'll be figuring that one out a lot on my own! HA!)

Silver
