Does anyone know a way I can match the mesh that solidworks would create when a model is tessellated? I believe they call it the Standard mesh, a Voronoi-Delaunay meshing scheme. My client wants to do a wireframe illustration, but wants to match how the mesh looks when created in solidworks. I have attached an image of the triangular mesh from solidworks and an image of the mesh created by Moi. Is there another program that can do this kind of mesh? Thanks for your help!

Hi Randy, that type of mesh structure is usually used by FEA (Finite Element Analysis) type software that does things like analysis of the structural strength of parts. That's focused on somewhat different metrics than how MoI's mesher works.

Often times those kinds of structural analysis programs are rather specialized and expensive, but there are some free ones too.

And you also might check out some mesh processing type software such as TopMod which may be able to reconstruct an existing mesh to be more similar to what you want.
