Dxf curve input

Hello Michael
this is an old question, I know
but in my current workflow I often have to do with 2D drawings in dwg, then I have to draw in 3D. Now use Rhino to convert from dwg / dxf to .ai
but would really like to eliminate this step.
is possible, in the near future, to import the curves directly from dxf?
Or at least create a little stand-alone program that converts a dxf curve file in 3dm?
I think it would be a great help for cad modelers .

Thanks

Hi guyver, yes DXF support is one of the new features for MoI v3. The final v3 version should be out later this week, and you can get the current beta version which has DXF import/export from here: http://moi3d.com/beta.htm

That supports reading in various 2D drafting entities from DXF files, like lines, circles, arcs, ellipses, polylines and spline curves.
