Very interesting. Thanks.

From their website:
quote:
Are you a startup (a product not yet commercially available) or planning to use Fusion 360 for personal use?
If Yes, you qualify as a Startup.

If you selected the startup entitlement, you will have personal use of Autodesk® Fusion 360™ for one (1) year. You will be notified at the end of your entitlement term via email or via a notice to your account. At the end of one (1) year, you will have the option to re-select the startup entitlement or transition to a commercial entitlement.

Seems to be free for more than a year for personal use. Maybe free forever for hobbyists?

Martin

Thanks from me, too. That makes it worth learning.

Hi Martin,

Looking at their conditions within "Student" section, it would seem that "3 years" is the maximum time limit...
...so chances are a "hobbyist" wouldn't be for any longer time scale?

HTH, Colin

Hi yakas,

I guess maybe someday but it will likely be quite a while, there is a lot more stuff that I'd like to happen in the area of modeling before trying to branch out into some completely other area like that, particularly when there are already other tools available that can get that job done already.

Another tool that my be of use is Simlab composer: http://www.simlab-soft.com/
