Hi eric, yes it remains very close... Very very close now I guess.

I only have a few areas of the help file left to update to be done. It always tends to take me a lot more time to do documentation work than what I originally think it will, probably because I don't like doing it very much.

"""We're very very close""""

Could you please notify us when we become "extremely close".... Also after we pass "Just a smidgeon left", could you mark a date for "ludicrously soon"?

Then Just before final release, We here in America need a notice of "any time now", so we can compete in the "who bought it first" epic battle with Australia....

:o

Hi Michael,

I have tested the trial version 2.0 during the last 30 days. I am new to 3D CAD but I really like the software. Now I should start purchasing but then I would need to pay for the 'very very close' update for version 3.0....

Do you think I should wait till it get's released or couldn't I now buy the new version? ;)

Thanks for your advise (from nothern Germany).

Best regards,
Michael

P.S. I want to model a velomobile and then print my bike.... still a long way to go, but you need to have dreams .....

Michael has already announced that we are within the grace period for purchasing the current product (V.2) and getting a free upgrade to V.3 when it is released.

I was in the same boat, waiting to purchase because I didn't want to hit up accounting for an upgrade right after purchasing the program.

Come on in, the water's FINE!

Hi niko,

> Is the final going to include history for the flow command?

History already works with the flow command, just enable history updates on the deformed object.

To enable it you can select the output of the flow command and run Edit > History > "Enable update".

It's also possible to set up a shortcut key that enables history updates on whatever objects were created by the last run command, maybe that will be useful for you. To do that set up the following on a shortcut key:

script: /* Enable history updates on objects created by the last run command */ var a = moi.command.lastCommandRevisionStart; var b = moi.command.lastCommandRevisionEnd; var objects = moi.geometryDatabase.getObjects(); for ( var i = 0; i < objects.length; ++i ) { var obj = objects.item(i); if ( obj.databaseRevision> a && obj.databaseRevision <= b ) obj.updateWithHistory = true; }

If you want history to be enabled by default on Flow so you don't need to do any other steps to turn it on, that's also possible currently as well by modifying the flow command script. Overwrite the existing command script with the flow.js file attached to this message here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=6896.1

This will be all the same for the final version.

I've got the final v3 version built and it's ready to go, there are just various other things to finish up like making an official announcement, updating web pages, etc... Maybe I'll set up the order pages first so people can order it early while I'm still working on the various announcement stuff.
